In the campaign you speak about the enemy often come in large coloums and formations and its perfect to kill huge number of enemys with plane bombs. One of the planes are quite good with i guess 4 bombs. Next the key to winning the campaign when the enemy have a huge amount of example apc and tanks are to get air superiority and take out the AA guns/missile units and then bomb the enemy from the air. ( infantry with helicopters can be unloaded behind enemy lines, and example spot for your artillery or planes so you can take out the command vehicles ) Use this tactic to defence and stop the enemys advance. Infantry is VERY strong if they can get close. One strategy could be to buy infantry/apc and then make ambush points where you infantry can get close to enemys vehilcles and take them out. Its such a contrast.Ī big tip for the campaigns. The game seems to be quite well set up otherwise - intricate mechanics make for hilarious tactics and what not - except for this AA point, its so rock-paper-scissors and so blunt. well, anything - didnt have any points for anything else. all the while praying to the norse gods that they dont realise they have 8 arties simply sitting around or flank me with. The only way I could survive that was camping in the corner and spending all my points on helis in turn, then pull apart and smash their anslaught. In Cheorwon the AI completely bumrush me from behind the mountain with all the helis they had (i think there were 16 of them including basically their entire army, which they must have been cheating to get so many units on the field so quickly) which makes my AA useless. The americans are the same thing (except, of course, the naval battles, AA is only an afterthought in light of the OHPs), they also get only one AA company with 4 Avengers. The north koreans get so much AA its not even funny and makes using jets almost useless - ive made a point of hunting and prioritizing AA guns and have had success in doing so but nonetheless. I know you can order in an AA company but thats only one company. Whats with the rare AA? I find myself playing juggle-the-AA-around more than i find myself actually enjoying playing the campaign map.Īs the koreans you get 4 stingers at the beginning - other than that, its jets or simple machine guns with a range within throwing distance (which becomes irrelevant once helis are thrown at you with 1km+ range). Getting the hang of the game now I suppose - except for one thing: So Im playing the Busan pocket starter campaign.
